The Typography Lover: Curated by Pauline Ibarra

A professional graphic designer who moved to Singapore 6 years ago, Pauline Ibarra started her own little happiness project - the Happy Hands Project - when she fell in love with the flourishes and swells of pointed pen calligraphy while preparing for her wedding in 2010. Wedding invites soon became her obsession, and she has been working on painting and calligraphy for wedding invitations and wall art since.

We invited Pauline to share with us what she loves from Naiise, from the perspective of a lover of all typography, paper and handmade art. Check out her curation here!

Singapore in Style: A National Day Special by Susannah Jaffer

This Saturday, we celebrate our nation's 49th birthday! What better time to celebrate all things local and all homegrown makers? (:

We have invited three individuals from different walks of life to select their favourite locally made or designed items, and share with you what this country means to them.

Born in London and Eurasian by ethnicity, Susannah moved to Singapore in 2012, and has been loving her bike rides down East Coast and hawker-style carrot cake since! She is now the fashion and beauty editor at Expat Living magazine, and writes her own fashion diary at A Fashionable Leo. We asked this lady, who has covered and photographed fashion weeks and reported from backstage at international designer catwalk shows, about her top picks from our local makers. Check out her favourite items here!

This Saturday, we celebrate our nation's 49th birthday! What better time to celebrate all things local and all homegrown makers? (:

We have invited three individuals from different walks of life to select their favourite locally made or designed items, and share with you what this country means to them.

This is David - a German / French graphic designer who grew up all over Europe and worked in the UK for a few years, before moving to Singapore 8 years ago. He's a Design Director at Elmwood Singapore, and he loves spending his free time doing illustration, ceramics and gardening. We asked this globetrotter what he loves most about Singapore; check out his curation here!
