The Primary Colour Guide for AW16
Pantone has always been the go-to guide on everything about colours. Biannually, they release a Pantone Fashion Colour Report, and for this Autumn/Winter 2016, they've once again knocked it out of the park.
While the ever-glamorous New York Fashion Week has passed, there are still a few more to come in the most established fashion capitals of the world, and our eyes are peeled for the latest trends that come down those runways.
Our little red dot will have our fair share of glitz and glamour this October, in Singapore Fashion Week 2016, But before that, we are on the hunt for the next big colour trend to populate our wardrobes with. And, we found not one, not two, but three beautiful colours that were so unusual for Autumn, but yet so fitting, that we had to talk about them.
Aurora Red
First, we found Aurora Red. It immediately stands out amidst its fellow Autumn/Winter colours, which are full of blues, browns and whites. It will be the complete opposite when you add it to your outfit, and allow the red to stand out among the sea of achromatic hues.

Riverside
It may seem like blue is a regular member of the A/W seasonal colour palette, but there many shades that gain popularity every year. This year, Riverside takes the crown. Blue is known to be a calming colour, and this shade will be a perfect addition to your outfit. Wear it with your regular white and black, or match it with some denim to achieve a cohesive ensemble.

Spicy Mustard
Pantone added this new shade of yellow called Spicy Mustard into the colour trend prediction for this year's collection, and even though we rarely see yellow being worn in any time other than Spring and Summer (sometimes it's rare to see it then too), they hit the nail on the head with this shade.
Without being overwhelming, and still being bright enough to add to an outfit as a statement piece, this mellowed yellow is the go-to colour for people who want to add some flair to their Autumn outfits.
