There must be some stuff lying around in your home that you do not use on a daily basis, not even on a monthly basis. Go get some nice storage boxes, baskets or drawers that fit the bottom of your bed and table, or even top of your wardrobe, and stow them away. Keeping them out of sight helps you to tidy up your room, giving you more space to play around with decor and display.

Storing your belongings behind the doors of your wardrobes, cabinets, cupboards etc. might not be the first place you look at when you need to put things away. But these are the exact places that you can tap on for storage. Bring on your hooks, screws and drills, and fix some trays and holders of sorts to store those items that have been scattered across your table.

Instead of focusing on the literal space you have, don't forget about the vertical one - walls. This is where your best friends, screws and hooks, will lend you a hand in creating more storage space without taking up floor space. Be it foldable chairs, accessories, or even additional shelving, you can make use of the walls you have and work your creativity on it.

Don't let the corners slip by! These are precious storage opportunities you should never let go. Hunt for a suitable shelf or build one that fits your room's corners. Always look out for shelves that allow you to maximise storage so as to make your space worthwhile. You can now go ahead and house your book stash, old CD collection and even more storage boxes on this. Very smart, we say.

Popular among the Youtube makeup gurus, this magnetic board DIY is a great way to keep your cosmetics or other compact items that have been cluttering your desk. Simple and convenient, this magnetic board is rather easy to make. All you need to do is to stick magnets to the back of whatever you want to be placed onto your metal board, and viola! You can also stick some magnets on the back of cans or pen holders, and stick them on the board to store the loose items that are lying around.
