Little Green Dot's Militza Shares: How To Live More Happy, Healthy & Green With Design

Apr 10 2014

A mother of two girls, Militza blogs regularly at Little Green Dot and is passionate about green living. She loves creating a home filled with plants and objects that encourage a hands-on and active lifestyle, and takes her style inspiration from a quote by William Norris: “Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.”

Combining the same practicality with a great love for nature and eco-friendly thinking, Militza curates products that fits right into her lifestyle, and suitable for nature-loving moms everywhere this Mothers' Day. Enjoy browsing through her inspired curation, and find out more about Militza here.

1. How did your blog come about?

I started Little Green Dot as a personal project and it took on a life of it’s own! I share healthy living recipes, tips and ideas... I share my life and the things that I do to live more happy, healthy and green.

2. Tell us more about yourself and what you really do?

The blog has turned into a community of over 60,000 readers and today I’m fully dedicated to them. I’m obsessed with finding ways to make green living assessable and inspiring for everyone.

3. Thank you for curating the Mothers' Day collection for Naiise. How does it reflect your style and personality?

I take style inspiration from a quote that I read by William Norris :“Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.”

4. Top 3 picks from the collection, and why?

All three encourage a life that celebrates nature, community and wellbeing:-

Boskke Sky Planter - makes growing your own food at home beautiful and easy!
Sweet Chilli Dip - supports an important movement towards local, artisanal and thoughtfully produced food
Vintage Collection Standing Mirror -I love taking the time to find pieces that have a story, were made responsibly and will last a lifetime...

5. Most rewarding moment(s) of motherhood thus far?

My six year old turned to me quite randomly one day and said “Mom, you know we are all connected.” Kids have an innate wisdom that we adults can sometimes forget... and I’m proud that I can learn from her.

6. My greatest wish this Mothers' Day is...?

For everyone to make time for the the things that matter.
