During this workshop, you will be taught how to wheel-throw miniature clay vessels and experiment with different forms on a tiny pottery wheel! These vessels can be used to hold small objects or mini plants for a decorative table-top set in your office or home!
No prior pottery experience is required to participate in this workshop as our dedicated instructor will be there guiding you on your mini pottery journey every step of the way.
The first 10-15 minutes of the workshop will consist of a demonstration by the instructor where participants will be shown how to form a mini pot straight on the wheel using 3 basic steps.
These 3 steps will be the foundation for the participants to make their own unique mini pots. Using a quick dry technique, the instructor will demonstrate how to decorate and color the pots using under-glazes. After which, the participants are free to begin their crafting until the end of session and produce a cohesive decorative set of mini pots!
Note: Participants are allowed to keep all of the pots they made during the workshop. Any unused balls of clay will have to be returned at the end of workshop.
All finished pots will be brought back to the studio to be fired and mailed to given address after 3 weeks from commencement of workshop. Participants are to note that the colors of the pots will darken slightly after firing. Participants are advised to refrain from wearing any valuables during the workshop and keep long hair tied up around the machines.

About the instructor:
Our instructor is a Master of Arts graduate from NTU in 2018, vocationally trained in visual communications. During the duration of his postgraduate studies, he looked for a channel to "de-stress" and pottery was what he turned to.
Over time, it became a serious hobby and eventually, tumbled into a small business and from it emerged Terra & Ember.
Terra & Ember's mission is to rethink how pottery can be experienced outside of conventional pottery studios to make way for a more flexible approach for anyone who wants to learn this craft.
Hence, most of their workshops are held in neutral and common spaces such as art markets, design centers, community clubs and alike. Our instructor also teaches part-time at local pottery studios to assist in his venture to be a full-time pottery educator.
